Motion in the name of Councillor John Lyons This Area Committee acknowledges that the Shanganagh Urban Village Housing Proposal, recently passed by Dun Laoghaire/Rathodwn County Council, is a superior proposal to Dublin City Council's Land Initiative as it provides for a council-led development that will result in 100% social and affordable housing on a parcel of council-owned land and thus instructs the Area Manager to write CEO of Dublin City Council and the Minister for Housing requesting their support and funding for a new proposal on the Oscar Traynor Road site: a council-led development that will result in the delivery of 100% social and affordable residential units.

The motion was not heard pending legal advice on the matter and will be discussed at the November NCAC. |
