Emergency Motion in the name of Councillors Gary Gannon and Mary Fitzpatrick
In the interest of ensuring objective independent advice for the general public to engage in detailed consultations on the proposed MetroLink project, the elected members of Dublin City Council, call on the Department of Transport, as opposed to the NTA, to write the terms of reference, to manage the selection, appointment and operations of the independent expert. Motion in the name of Councillor Marie Sherlock That the Central Area Committee recognises the disrepair that the basketball and tennis courts section of Ashington Park has fallen into and that the Committee supports the necessary planning and funding to convert this space into a children’s play area. Motion in the name of Councillor Marie Sherlock That the Central Area Committee supports the planning to extend the roll out of the Dublin Bikes Scheme to areas north of the North Circular Road in the rest of Phibsborough, Cabra, Glasnevin and Drumcondra. ORDER: Report to Councillor

Motion in the name of Councillor Mary Fitzpatrick That the Central Area Committee support the expeditious re-opening of the former wholesale Fruit and Vegetable Market, Dublin 7 as a municipal fresh food and produce market to serve the residential community of Dublin City. We call on the Manager to advise how DCC is engaging independent indigenous fresh food producers and traders in defining the future of the market, how DCC will finance the redevelopment and build the expertise to successfully run a municipal Dublin city fresh produce market.
