Motion in the name of Councillor Alison Gilliland
The North Central Area Committee acknowledges the vital importance of keeping our public realm space clean, green and visually and environmentally attractive and the work our Public Realm and Parks teams do to achieve this. However, this Committee notes the current neglected state of the green space around the Grange Woodbine side of Kilbarrack DART Station and regrets the non-implementation of previous public realm plans to enhance this space. This Committee therefore calls for previous plans to be reviewed along with the Environmental Committee of Grange Woodbine Residents' Association and a plan put in place for the realisation of the enhancement of this particular public green space. Minutes: Order: Report to Councillor. Parks to issue list of areas weeded, litter picked and strimmed in last 6 weeks. |

Motion in the name of Councillor Alison Gilliland
The North Central Area Committee note the recent fires on the Lawerence/Oscar Traynor Road Lands in addition to reports of anti-social behaviour on these lands. Given that these lands are to be used in the near future that the site be cleared of all growth so as to prevent any further opportunities for extensive fires and indirectly speed up the preparation of building on the site.

Motion in the name of Councillor Ciaran O'Moore
I call on Dublin City Council
to encourage active travel for all ages by improving and promoting
greenways, cycle lanes and any other method of encouraging safe
active travel. The benefits include improving the physical and
mental health of our community, reducing congestion, air pollution
and traffic congestion. Minutes: Order: Report to Councillor |
|
Motion in the name of Councillor Ciaran O'Moore
I call on Dublin City Council
to strongly oppose the de-staffing and unmanning of Dart
Stations. The shift towards removing staff has a
detrimental knock on effect for each and every person
that uses and relies on public transport. Each and every
individual that wishes to use a DART or Train should have full and
equal access regardless of their mobility status.
