Emergency Motion in the name of Councillor Christy Burke

That this Area Committee agrees to renew and allow the 11 casual traders remain trade at the market at Cumberland Street Dublin 1. As some family’s have been trading for 75 years at this market.

ORDER: Agreed.

Motion in the name of Councillor Ciaran Cuffe

That the Manager implement a zero tolerance approach to the proliferation of billboards (A frame signage) on our streets given the obstacle that they create for people with mobility impairments and that Council officials call into premises with a leaflet advising of their liabilities in this regard, starting with Capel Street and Parnell Street.

ORDER: Report to Councillor

Motion in the name of Councillor Nial Ring

That this Committee requests Iarnrod Eireann (Irish Rail) to re-open (even for peak times) the entrance to Connolly Station on Amien Street (opposite Buckingham Street) as not only would the re-opening of this entrance be convenient for DART/Rail passengers but it would also add to the public realm and public facilities in this area.

ORDER: Agreed. Letter sent to Ianrod Eireann.
