Emergency Motion in the names of Councillor Ray McAdam and Councillor Janice Boylan That this Area Committee calls upon the Waste Management Department not to force householders on streets or estates to use wheelie bins to dispose of their household waste, if anything less than 100% of households on those streets or estates can adequately store and present such wheelie bins for collection. ORDER: Agreed.

That this Area Committee calls on Kieran Mulvey and the Government to reconsider the decision to spend 600 thousand Euro on the up keep/repair of a bridge when we all have vital projects in the North Inner City on the verge of extinction due to the lack of funding supports. That this Area Committee calls again on the Taoiseach to respond to a previous request to allocate the same amount of funding that was allocated in the North East Inner City to the North West Inner City to deal with the serious issues relating to crime and gun violence. That this Committee recommends that Dublin City Council, insofar as practicable, immediately arrange for the implementation of those recommendations contained in the Moore Street Report to the Minister for Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht (March 2017 – Chapter 7) relating to the Moore Street Market and the traders there, which are reflective of, complementary to and in line with DCC’s own policy statement in relation to this historic street market. ORDER: Report to Councillor.
