That DCC Housing Department please give a clear and transparent way forward for residents who have additional space available in order to place homeless persons, what this process will look like any implication to existing benefits, this has the potential to offer single people / couples an opportunity to get accommodation in the areas they would like to live, offer tenants company and some additional financial supports etc.

M248   Councillor Vincent Jackson

In view of the fact that very substantial numbers of apartments having being built by private developers in the Drimnagh Area and many others in the planning that Dublin City Council use some of the development levies to address the structural deficits in the Drimnagh Area i.e. Parks, facilities etc. Other communities can deliver substantial improvements when works take place however working class areas seem to lag behind.  The development levies whilst centralised need to be spent to address needs in areas when necessary.

M249   Councillors Máire Devine

This Committee agree to the installation of DYL at the corner of Herberton Road and New Ireland Road which is proving “rich pickings” for clampers.

M250   Councillors Máire Devine

This Committee requests that Pimlico Green in Dublin 8 be provided with:

- suitable bins  beside the seating area

- a thorough weekly clean of the path way.

- the removal of all litter prior to grass cutting and

- planting of suitable trees that could double as the Christmas tree

M251   Councillors Máire Devine

That this committee seeks clarification on revised timelines for works and closure of the steps at Cameron Square, D8 and that BAM be requested to inform the residents of same.
