Motion in the name of Councillor Nial Ring That the Central Area Committee agree to congratulate the relatives, the Justice for the Forgotten organisation and Dublin Bus workers for their vigilance and efforts to ensure that the memorial plaque to the three busmen killed in the Dublin bombings at Sackville Street will be restored and reinstated on Marlborough Street following the completion of the Moxy Hotel development. ORDER: Agreed. Letter to be send to Dublin Bus and the Justice for the Forgotten Organisation.
Motion in the name of Councillor Gary Gannon That the Central Area Committee agree to engage with the management of Glasnevin Cemetery so that the two towers at the front of the cemetery, which face onto the Finglas road can once again be illuminated during the darker evenings. Dublin City Council had previously provided the lights for these structures and it would greatly enhance the look of that area if they could once again be lit up. ORDER: Letter to be sent to Glasnevin Cemetery Trust.
