Minutes: Motion in the name of Councillor Christy Burke That this Central Area Committee calls on the Minister for Education to provide an update on the progress of the development of Gaelscoil Colaiste Mhuire, Parnell Square, which is to be sited on Dominick Street, Dublin. ORDER: Agreed. A letter will be forwarded to the Minister for Education. Motion in the names of Councillors Declan Meenagh and Joe Costello That this Central Area Committee: · thanks the staff and volunteers in the vaccination program across the country, · recognises that there are still a number of people who need to be vaccinated, · notes that if someone has not been vaccinated at this point, that they may have difficulties in accepting a vaccine or other difficulties, · condemns the decision by the HSE to shut down the Croke Park Community Vaccination Centre, · notes the Swords centre is too far from most people in the Central Area · and calls for the Croke Park vaccination centre to be re-opened or a vaccination centre to be added close by. ORDER: Agreed. A letter will be forwarded to the Health Service Executive. Motion in the name of Councillor Colm O’Rourke That this Central Area Committee calls on the Traffic Management Department of Dublin City Council to immediately conduct a review of Cabra Cross (junction at Cabra Road, Navan Road, Ratoath Road and the Old Cabra Road) and introduce a number of measures to improve the safety of pedestrians, cyclists and all road users in the area.
