Emergency Motion in the name of Councillor Christy Burke

 

That the Central Area Committee calls on Dublin City Council to provide a report as to why the Community Centre in St. Bricins Park, Dublin 7 is closed.  This Central Area Committee agrees that the Centre be open to the local residents without delay.

Emergency Motion in the name of Councillor Mary Fitzpatrick

 

That the elected members of the Central Area Committee object to the proposal to give away a 7 acre state owned residential site at Connolly Station to a private developer for the development of private build to rent units.

 

We call on the newly elected Dublin Central Deputies McDonald, Hourigan and Gannon to stop the giveaway of this state owned site and to ensure that the state directly develop the site to create a sustainable urban inner city residential community with social and affordable homes.

Motion in the name of Councillor Nial Ring

 

That the Central Area Committee agree that the roadway behind the refurbished houses on Ballybough Road be named after Joseph Traynor, a 19 year old who was shot by the RIC/Black and Tans in Croke Park killed on Bloody Sunday (21st November 1920) and who was taken to a house on Sakville Gardens (Ring's) where he bled on the kitchen table. He was then brought through the back lane (Love Lane) and out on to Sackville Avenue before he was collected by ambulance. Joseph Trayor die in Jervis Street hospital that evening.

Motion in the name of Councillor Joe Costello

That the Central Area Committee calls on the Area Manager to request the HSE to join Dublin City Council in case on pigeon feeding in the Manor Street area.
