That this Committee calls on Dublin City Council to provide a report as why it can take over 7 months for a house that has come back into stock to be allocated.  This is totally unacceptable at any time, but especially with homeless on the streets and families in B & B’s and hostels.  My house was completely gutted 25 years ago and it took 6 weeks to complete.

That the members, noting the capital amount committed to the upgrading of the Tom Clarke Bridge, requests that, within the design/upgrade remit, special consideration will be given to the indication/highlighting of the bridge name, both prominently on approaches to, and on the bridge itself.

That this Committee supports, as part of the Croke Villas redevelopment, the renaming of Sackville Avenue after Joseph Traynor who was murdered on Bloody Sunday 1920 in Croke Park and who was taken onto Sackville Avenue from a nearby house and collected by ambulance at the junction of Ballybough Road and Sackville Avenue.

That this Committee congratulates the Stoneybatter Pride of Place Committee, as well as the wider community involved in the initiative, in its achievements to date and wishes them well in the Pride of Place Awards Ceremony in Belfast later this month.
