With reference to the Derelict Sites Quarterly Report

ORDER: Report noted.

With reference to the Status Report and Minutes of Traffic Advisory Group meeting held on 25th October, 2016

ORDER: Report noted.  Councillors requested that the TAG Status report show what has been progressed each month and a report on Traffic Management at O’Devaney Gardens.

With reference to a proposal to initiate the procedure to Extinguish the Public Right of Way over a section of the laneway to the rear of 16-23 St. Ignatius Road, Dublin 7

ORDER: Agreed to initiate the procedure.

With reference to a Naming and Numbering Proposal for a Development at 49a-51 Arbour Hill, Dublin 7

ORDER: Councillors requested that this item be deferred until the December meeting.

With reference to North Inner City Ministerial Task Force

ORDER: Report noted.

With reference to Moore Street Market and Retail Outlets Strategic Report

ORDER: Report noted.  Manager to contact the Management of the Ilac Centre to deal with anti social behaviour facilitated by the design of a wall on Moore Street.

Updates on the following: Environmental Services, North East and North West Inner City Housing Issues, Grangegorman Development, Central Area Age Friendly Alliance, Community Development and Central Area Sports Report

ORDER: Reports noted.  Members requested that Traffic Infrastructure Ireland and the Grangegorman Artist attend the next meeting with a view to animating the rail and Luas stations with public art.

That this Committee calls on Dublin City Council to provide a report as why it can take over 7 months for a house that has come back into stock to be allocated.  This is totally unacceptable at any time, but especially with homeless on the streets and families in B & B’s and hostels.  My house was completely gutted 25 years ago and it took 6 weeks to complete.

That this Committee agrees to allocate part of a space at the Pigeon Club on Luke Kelly Bridge to assist the Ballybough Community Group who do great work for children between 5 and 10 years of age.

That this Committee calls on the builder at the Primary Care Site at Mountain View Court, Dublin 1 not to carry out works that breach the planning laws i.e. works starting at 6 am and finishing at 12 midnight.

That the members, noting the capital amount committed to the upgrading of the Tom Clarke Bridge, requests that, within the design/upgrade remit, special consideration will be given to the indication/highlighting of the bridge name, both prominently on approaches to, and on the bridge itself.

Motion in the name of Councillor Nial Ring

That this Committee supports, as part of the Croke Villas redevelopment, the renaming of Sackville Avenue after Joseph Traynor who was murdered on Bloody Sunday 1920 in Croke Park and who was taken onto Sackville Avenue from a nearby house and collected by ambulance at the junction of Ballybough Road and Sackville Avenue.

ORDER: Agreed. Letter to be sent to the Commemorations and Naming Committee.

That this Committee congratulates the Stoneybatter Pride of Place Committee, as well as the wider community involved in the initiative, in its achievements to date and wishes them well in the Pride of Place Awards Ceremony in Belfast later this month.
