Motion in the name of Cllr Cat O'Driscoll: 'This committee agrees to give speakers addressing a meeting of Council, or its committees, in Irish an additional 1 minute to summarise their contribution in English. This is in place in the Union of Students of Ireland Comhdháil and ensures speakers can use their Gaeilge without the need for interpretation services. An exception for meetings taking place mainly in Irish should be included.' |
