The following documentation is attached for the Members information:

1)    Statutory Instrument S.I. No. 589 of 2014: Local Government (Appointment of Chief Executive) Regulations, 2014

2)    Public Appointments Service Information Booklet for Chief Executive Dublin City Council.

3)    The views of the Corporate Policy Group of Dublin City Council, dated 15^th December 2023, conveyed by the Lord Mayor in accordance with Regulation 3 (2).

4)    The information received from the Public appointments Service in respect of the recommendation.

I wish to advise that regulation number 8 and 9, of the Local Government (Appointment of Chief Executive) Regulation, 21014, provide that;-

·         All meetings held by the Corporate Policy Group, or by the Elected Council, (in accordance with regulation 3 and 4) for the purposes of the consideration of a recommendation shall take place in the absence of the members of the public and representatives of the media and;

·         Any records relating to the above decision shall be maintained by the Local Authority as confidential, other than the resolution made by the Elected Members giving effect to the decision.
