Mr John O’Hara, Dublin City Planner, gave the background to the process Report No. 199/2017 of the Assistant Chief Executive (R. Shakespeare) - Ballymun LAP, report on submissions received was noted by the City Council at its meeting on the 12^th June 2017.

It was agreed that when Report No 254/2017 was reached, each motion would be taken in index order, unless grouped with similar motions. Each motion would be deemed to be proposed by the submitting Councillor and seconded by the Lord Mayor. The only exceptions to this were Motion No 19 (proposed by Councillor A Montague and seconded by Councillor C Cuffe) and Motion No 27 (proposed by Councillor N Reilly and seconded by Councillor A Clancy).

It was proposed by Councillor R McGinley and seconded by Councillor S McGrattan “That Report No 254/2017 of the Assistant Chief Executive (R. Shakespeare) - Draft Ballymun Local Area Plan 2017 - Report and Recommendations on Councillor Motions be considered” Accordingly all motion as listed were put to the meeting. Full details of all motions, any amendments, a composite motion and final decisions can be found in Appendix A to these minutes. All votes taken are referenced to the relevant motion and are attached as Appendix B.

“That Dublin City Council, having considered the draft Ballymun Local Area Plan, and the Chief Executive’s Report No. 199/2017 on submissions, and Report No. 254/2017 on Motions from elected members, hereby resolves to amend the draft Ballymun Local Area Plan, and to place the material amendments on public display for not less than 4 weeks, and that written submissions will be considered by the City Council before the Ballymun Local Area Plan is made” The motion was put and carried.

It was proposed by Councillor R McGinley and seconded by Councillor S P Mahon “That Dublin City Council notes the contents of Report No 255/2017 and hereby endorses the report of the Moore St Consultative Group”. The motion was put and carried.

It was proposed by Councillor R McGinley and seconded by Councillor A Clancy “That Dublin City Council notes the contents of Report No. 256/2017 and hereby approves the signing of the Friendship Agreement with Dublin, Ohio as set out therein”. The motion was put and carried.
