Supt. Gerry Murphy presented the crime statistics for the year to date and compared them to the same period last year. He noted that increases in incidences of crime may be linked to greater reporting and due to improved support systems encouraging people to come forward.

Members noted the engagement and quick response of An Gardaí. Their concerns about continuing anti-social behaviour in specific areas are consistent with the Garda report.

Supt. Gerry Murphy provided further details of the new Community Support Van and asked for assistance in encouraging greater community engagement.
