Emergency Motions Additional documents: Minutes: Emergency Motion No. 1 in the name of Councillors DaithíDoolan & Sophie Nicoullaud This Area Committee condemns the vandalism carried out on the Liffey Gaels GAA pitch and commits Dublin City Council to working with the club to repair the damage as soon as possible. Order: Agreed.
Emergency Motion No. 2 in the names of Councillors Tina MacVeigh, Críona Ní Dhálaigh, Rebecca Moynihan & Michael Pidgeon This Area Committee calls for the immediate closure of the entrance to the construction site of the new National Children’s Hospital located in Mount Brown so that a full public and traffic safety assessment can be carried out and measures implemented to ensure that traffic management measures as set out in the original planning application are adhered to. Order: Agreed.

July 2019 Motions DUBLIN CITY COUNCIL SOUTH CENTRAL AREA COMMITTEE 17th July 2019
5 Councillor Daithi Doolan This Area Committee agree to ask the Minister for State with responsibility for the National Drug Strategy to reinstate funding for Local Drugs and Alcohol Task Forces to 2008 levels.
6 Councillor Hazel de Nortúin & Cllr Daithí Doolan That this Area Committee shares its deepest sympathy with those effected and those who have lost loved ones to suicide in the South Central Area. This Area Committee will agree to support the call for a network of relevant services and community members to address the needs of the area with the aim to have an immediate response asap.
7 Councillor Tina MacVeigh This Area Committee agree that a survey of young people in Dublin South Central aged between 13 and 17 will be conducted so as to determine their recreational and leisure needs.

AOB Additional documents: Minutes: 1) The meeting was taken by Kay Noonan Cork, Acting Senior Executive Officer, in the absence of the Executive Manager South City. 2) The Members observed a minutes silence at the start of the meeting on the passing of Brendan Grace RIP, comedian and singer from the Liberties. The members requested consideration be given on the selection of a fitting memorial to honour him in the Liberties area. 3) It was agreed that a report on the motions would be emailed to all members after the meeting.
