June 2019 Motions

DUBLIN CITY COUNCIL

SOUTH CENTRAL AREA COMMITTEE

19th June 2019

1          Councillor Tina MacVeigh

That this Area Committee requests the Area Manager to inquire and request a written report from Irish Water on  the time frame for completing works in the Bulfin Estate, what are the plans for repairing and restoring roads and pathways to their original condition, or better, what is the procedure for complaints for residents who are not satisfied with how roads or paths are left following completion of the works.

2          Councillor Hazel de Nortúin

This Area Committee calls on Dublin City Council to identify key locations in the Ballyfermot/Drimnagh ward for public water fountains. The Area Office will report back to this Committee in no longer than 3 months, with a report on said locations and cost for such a project.

3          Councillor Tina MacVeigh

This Area Committee agrees that Dublin South Central be developed in a sustainable and pro community way and urgently calls upon our City Council and Planners to prioritise development that meets the residential accommodation needs of our citizens through all of their life stages over any further luxury student accommodation or hotels or any shared living accommodation schemes.

4          Councillor Hazel de Nortúin

That this Area Committee agree that any development proposed for the Ballyfermot/Drimnagh ward will strongly recommend that there be a focus on parklets that will facilitate bee pollination and public green spaces.
