July 2017 Motions
DUBLIN CITY COUNCIL SOUTH CENTRAL AREA COMMITTEE 19th July 2017
529 Councillor Michael Mullooly This Area Committee calls on the Event Management Office of Dublin City Council to form a Working Group of stakeholders to include representatives of local residents associations, representatives of IMMA, Garda, representatives, local businesses and public representatives either as prescribed body under the Regulations or as a non prescribed advisory body, to ensure greater consultation and input from the local community, in respect of concerts and outdoor events at the Royal Hospital, Kilmainham.
530 Councillor Pat Dunne and Councillor Ray McHugh This Area Committee notes with concern that Crumlin Swimming Pool has had to close from the 3rd July, to allow for investigations into a suspected water leak. We request that minimum disruption be caused to pool users over the coming period. Furthermore and most importantly, we call on our Sports Development Section to undertake to make maximum public usage of this facility a priority policy going forward. The people of Crumlin and surrounding areas should be able to use the pool for public swimming throughout the year.
531 Councillor Daithí Doolan This Area Committee welcomes the appointment of consultants to draft the socio-economic plan for Cherry Orchard. The plan needs to have the community at the centre of it. To achieve this, the contractors must compile a consultation process that is inclusive and engages all stakeholders including residents, service providers and community groups.
532 Councillor Michael Mullooly This Area Committee completely opposes any attempt to charge the public for the disposal of the contents of the green bin.
533 Councillor Daithí Doolan and Councillor Greg Kelly This Area Committee expresses deep concern at the recent fire in Labre Park. Dublin South Central Area Committee is committed to providing the highest standard of public service to the residents in Labre Park. This committee calls on Dublin City Council, Dublin Fire Brigade and Gardaí to have a speedy coordinated inter agency response to all future emergencies.
