The following issues were raised; -

·         Plan to be put in place in preparation for Halloween 2018.

·         Inspector John Lambert requested that a collection lorry be dedicated specifically for the Crumlin area for next year.

·         The members to submit specific areas/premises that caused problems by facilitating the storage of materials for use on bonfires.

·         The 63% increase this quarter on theft from shops in the South West Inner City area

·         The 29% increase this quarter on theft from MPV’s in the South West Inner City area

The following issues were raised and a response will be given directly to the members: -

·                     Number of evictions, under Section 20, tested in the courts, and the outcome. Report to next meeting.

·                     Concern raised over the lack of anti-social interviews recorded for Crumlin Area. Report to next meeting.

Report requested on the follow up to the receipt of correspondence  from the Chairperson of the Canal Communities LPF in connection with the request to incorporate Basin Street into their Local Policing Forum.

            on enforcement of bicycle issues, to include such issues as    

            lighting, speed, not wearing a helmet, not using cycle paths, 

            breaking traffic lights etc.

   (i).        What supports are available to community groups/citizens to rid our parks of both horses and alcohol consumption/anti-social behaviour. For years, we as a society, have allowed a few take ownership of large parks within the City administrative area. In a democratic society this is unacceptable.

  (ii).        That An Garda Siochana with DCC staff prioritise one or two areas for a targeted intervention to displace/deter anti-social behaviour in our Parks. If the word gets out certain behaviours will no longer be accepted it will start to change the behaviour of a few who cause so much trouble.
