Motion in the name of Cllr Alison Gilliland Dublin City Council recognises the diversity of languages among our social housing tenants and awaiting tenants and therefore the possibility of many not to fully understand important housing documentation communicated only in the English language. Therefore as policy going forward, DCC will make available to any new tenant whose home language is not English the DCC housing tenant contract and accompanying relevant documentation in the tenants' home language and, where required, provide the services of an interpreter for new tenant and contract signing meetings.
