Matters Arising (10 minutes) · Appointment of a Deputy Chair for the EDE SPC

Action: Cllr Rory Hogan appointed as Deputy Chair & will also represent the Chair on the DBEC committee. Cllr Punam Rane appointed to the DBEC committee.

Motion of Notice (5 minutes) Additional documents: Minutes: Cllr. Rane’s motion was put forward to the committee. The motion was discussed & agreed. Cllr. Kane was absent so her motion was not discussed.
Action: The committee agreed to postpone Cllr. Kane’s motion until the next meeting of this SPC in May. |

Dublin Belfast Economic Corridor Update (15 minutes) - Mary Mac Sweeney, Executive Manager Additional documents: Minutes: Copy of presentation was provided in advance of the meeting in the ModGov pack. The presenter updated the Members. A DBEC summit will be held in Belfast on the 27th February 2025. The event is at capacity, with a waiting list in place. A new partnership manager is in place from the 24th March. Chair thanked the presenter and opened the floor to questions and answers. No Questions. Action: An update from the February summit will be given at the next meeting.

Local Enterprise Office - Local Enterprise Week (15 minutes) - Paul Berry, Business Advisor Additional documents: Minutes: Copy of presentation was provided in advance of the meeting in the ModGov pack. The Presenter updated the members. Local Enterprise Week currently has 6 events over planned over 6 days with further events being finalised. Chair thanked the Presenter and opened the floor to questions and answers. Questions addressed.
Action: Local Enterprise Week events listing will be circulated to Members. Information on the Trading on Line Voucher and its replacement to be circulated. Information on the TAME grant (Technical Assistance for Micro Exporters) & its replacement to be circulated. |

Dublin Place Brand - FDI Campaign update (15 minutes) - Anthony McGuinness, Team Lead Additional documents: Minutes: Copy of presentation will be circulated after meeting.
The Presenter updated the Members on the Dublin Place Brand and the work ongoing to deliver an investment campaign showcasing the strengths of the Dublin region with a focus on 6 FDI businesses based here. This is the first time that the Dublin Place Brand has been used on a regional basis and is supported as an action under the Dublin Regional Enterprise Plan. The FDI campaign promotional video was shown to Members. The Chair thanked the Presenter and opened the floor to questions and answers. Questions addressed.
Action: An impact report from the campaign will be brought to the next meeting.

Additional documents: Minutes: Copy of reports were provided in advance of the meeting in the ModGov pack. Each Manager gave a brief update on their section, highlighting the work done & upcoming projects/events.
Action: Whilst the overview of sections was appreciated there was a lot covered. Manager’s to provide more focused reports on upcoming projects at future meetings. Request that NTA be invited to provide an update on time line for integrated ticketing where card or phone can be used to pay for public transport.
