Can this Area Committee agree to put in place the steps needed to make Finglas a Fairtrade Town, with the hope of this extending to the whole of Dublin North West.  This is a very important step in supporting farmers and communities in less developed countries to get fair prices, conditions, training and work standard protections for products they sell to us. There are 48 officially recognised Fairtrade cities, towns and islands around Ireland.
