Motion in the name of Councillor Caroline Conroy In light of the recent reports on Air Pollution from the EPA "Urban Environmental Indicators: Nitrogen dioxide levels in Dublin", and strong scientific evidence that air pollutants, including NOx and particulates, are a significant risk to people's health, I request that the Area Manager urgently act to protect residents of the Dublin North West area. This should include: a. Explore any immediate steps that may be taken to reduce air pollution in the area, including promotion of active methods of travel (cycling, walking); b. Work with local community groups to raise awareness and promote community action to reduce pollution levels.
