Motion in the name of Councillor Paul McAuliffe

A cat spaying programme should be introduced so as to reduce the number of stray animals in the city. This would be a catch, neuter and return programme that would in time ease the pressure on our animal rescue centres.

Motion in the name of Councillor Paul McAuliffe

The Area Committee calls on the Traffic Department to present a plan which addresses the serious issues of pedestrian safety at the Mother of Divine Grace School in Ballygall, Dublin 11.

20.

Motion in the name of Councillor Noeleen Reilly

That the Manager arranges an immediate meeting with residents, Gardaí and other stakeholders to discuss the future of Shangan Park.   Residents have been left without facilities and have had to put up with severe levels of anti social behaviour for years.  As a result residents feel very frustrated and feel the area is being neglected.

21.

Motion in the name of Councillor Noeleen Reilly

That the Northwest Area Committee supports Na Fianna GAA Club and calls on National Infrastructure Ireland to find an alternative location for the construction of Metro link.  It is not practical that the club would be expected to be without playing pitches for 6 years and this would have a devastating effect on the club who are at the heart of the community in Glasnevin and Drumcondra.

22.

Motion in the name of Councillor Andrew Montague

That the North West Area work with Fingal County Council and Trinity College Dublin to create a new entrance along Santry Avenue into Santry Demense. Both Fingal and Trinity have indicated a willingness to work on this, but want the support of the North West Area Committee.
